International Shipping

We ship worldwide via FedEx and UPS and our shipping rates are very competitive. Upon checkout, please make sure that you provide the correct phone number and email address to avoid delays.

Shipping Timeline:

We ship packages via two options:

  • FedEx International Priority/UPS Worldwide Saver - 2 to 3 business days
  • FedEx International Economy/UPS Worldwide Expedited - 3 to 5 business days

*Transit times for certain countries (ex: Australia and New Zealand) may take longer than the estimated delivery times above. Please check the ETA of your order upon checkout.

Packages may arrive longer than the expected delivery times due to CUSTOMS DELAYS or UNCONTROLLABLE EVENTS (such as severe weather conditions or local service disruptions). 

Hai Trim and Feathers bears no responsibility for these delays. Please check with your local courier or customs to check the status of your package once it is already in your country.

Customs Duty Tax:

International customers have the primary responsibility in paying the duty taxes assessed (if any) by your country's customs department. Duty taxes are determined by each country's customs so we are unable to provide any estimations. Check with your country's tax department regarding duty taxes for products we sell in our store.

Feather Shipments Overseas:

Shipping feathers internationally may require additional documents depending on the country of destination. If your country requires a certified and notarized Export Certificate for Animal Products (VS Form 16-4) from the US Department of Agriculture, Hai Trim & Feathers can apply the certificate on your behalf.

To process the feather certificate, the following must be satisfied to proceed:

  • Proof of Purchase: a proof of feather purchase from Hai Trim & Feathers (such as paid online order or an invoice for in-store purchases) is required. We will not entertain feather certificate requests if your feathers are from another store.

  • $175 USD Processing Fee: (this fee includes notary and shipping of the actual certificate to the shipping address of the feathers. We will also send a scanned copy of the certificate).


The turnaround time for feather certificate applications may take up to 7 business days. Processing times may change without prior notice and is solely based on how quickly USDA processes requests.

Based on our experience, the following countries REQUIRE a Feather Export Certificate:

  • Trinidad and Tobago
  • Barbados
  • Saint Lucia
  • Jamaica


Countries such as Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Grenada, Antigua, and most European countries have rather more lenient importation requirements and do not normally require a feather export certificate. However, customs may still do random inspections which we have no control.

This list we have created is based on our experience but it is still your responsibility to check all documentations required in importing feathers into your country.

Besides from the feather export certificate, you may also be required to obtain an import certificate from your agriculture ministry/department. Please ensure you are aware of all required documentations and restricted feather products before making a purchase.

Bypassing this very important step in bringing feathers into your country may result in the seizure or destruction of the feather shipments. It is your sole responsibility to ensure full compliance of documents. 

Hai Trim & Feathers will not bear any responsibility if the shipment gets held, seized, or destroyed due to lack of proper documentation.
